HIPC Manorial Waste Enhancement – Work due to start ready for Feast Event

Work on the open space at the Manorial Waste/ School Hill site is due to start on Monday 12th June and will likely take around two weeks to complete.

The upgrade of the area is designed to encourage use by all members of the community. The improvements will include a new path to the Youth Shelter, alongside the addition of a range of plants and shrubs to make the area aesthetically more appealing and to attract insects and wildlife.

Two round benches, one with wheelchair access, will be put in place, both made from recycled materials, and a further space has been reserved for the installation of a memorial bench.  Once the groundwork is complete, we will be turning our focus to repainting the youth shelter, and we will welcome feedback on this from the community – come and see us at the Feast event on 2nd July to help us with the decisions.

  1. All sounds lovely and imaginative. Will the Stir Café have an area too as originally planned or have events overtaken that idea?

    Well done to all involved.
