County Councillor Ros Hathorn is in dialouge with County Highways Officers and is aware of concerns raised from residents regarding the recent Park Avenue resurfacing. County Highways are aware of the issue and have issued the following statement:
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I have contacted the contractor who will return to site, where the gully will either be uncovered, or if it sits too low in the new surface, will have holes punched through the material to accept water, until the main contractor can get to site and adjust the Ironwork. This is standard accepted industry practice.
The treatment has gone up to the kerbs in places, as this is what was existing onsite prior to treatment, with no channels in that location.
