I have lived in Histon with my husband Robert for over 30 years. All our children, now grown up, attended village schools from play-group through Impington Village College and onto successful careers. I am a local girl and also attended IVC as did my parents and my grandparents.
I have worked in the Financial Services industry for the past 20 years leading teams in India, UK and USA. I love to meet new people and understand their passions, concerns and challenges. I hope my skills in business and team leadership will be valuable in enabling me to play an active hands-on role on our Parish Council.
We are so lucky to live in such a well-served village with so many varied activities Our family has made so many great friends here who look out for each other every day, whether they remain local or have moved to new locations. We feel privileged to be part of a village, where the growth in size is exceeded by the growth in the strength and generosity of community spirit.
In my role as Parish Councillor I look forward to getting to know as many of you as possible so I can understand and support your views. My main interest is to help facilitate village growth to continue to provide a varied, fun and challenging community where people can live and work successfully in increasingly changing and challenging times.
