Bulb Planting in the villages

RESCHEDULED to Saturday 13th January at 10am
Due to the weather conditions, we have decided to reschedule to the above date and time. Hope you can make it. Feel free to bring children who might enjoy this project for the village.

Histon and Impington Parish Council’s Nature and Biodiversity Committee are planning to plant spring bulbs around the villages.  We hope this will bring some vibrant new colour to the villages in spring and provide nectar for early pollinating insects.

We would like volunteers from the community to help us with planting out the bulbs. Please join us on Tuesday 5th of December at 9am to plant near the Park Primary School, or Wednesday 3rd of January at 9am to plant along Cambridge Road. Please bring trowels or forks suitable for planting bulbs within the soil. We recommend that you wear warm clothing suitable for working outside, with waterproofs in the event of wet weather. Children are welcome to take part, however they must be accompanied by a responsible adult – a parent or carer. We will be providing the bulbs.

Let us know if you are attending:
Tuesday 5th of December, 9am.  Meeting by the Grandfather and Grandson sculpture on Cottenham Road.  Contact Tom McKeown, tom.mckeown@hisimp-pc.gov.uk

Wednesday 3rd of January, 9am.  Meeting by the War Memorial on Station Road. Contact Yvonne Murray, yvonne.murray@hisimp-pc.gov.uk

In the event of severe weather these events may be cancelled, notice of such cancellation will be placed onto the Parish Council Website.
